Language can help maintain the purity and distinctiveness of a given culture. Therefore, many countries, such as France and China, have a language policy to restrict the substitute-usage of foreign languages and the importation of foreign cultural products. What are your views on this restriction?
I personally like this type of policy. If you are going to live in a country, you should be able to communicate with their language. Personally I find it is very frustrating to go into a store and try and do business with the teller or customer service agent and then find out that they do not speak English. It seems like this is happening more and more in the United State. I am all for legal immigration but if you are going to live in our country and use our countries benefits then please learn our language. I find that the policies that France and China have put into place would be a welcome sight for the United States. This restriction would definitely show those who really want to live here and their loyalties.
